Business Plan Competition Final Round 2015
Mahatma Education Society’s Pillai Centre of Innovation and Entrepreneurship conducted the much anticipated Final Round of the Business Plan Competition at Dr. K. M. Vasudevan Pillai Campus on 6th May, 2016. This competition with a prize money of Rs. One Lakh was launched amidst much excitement in October 2015 and about 38 teams from the various institutions at the Campus wholeheartedly participated in it.
This unique Business Plan Competition witnessed many innovative ideas and business plans which were discussed and presented throughout the various elimination rounds. The three finalists’teams were CarMojo, a quality driven car service business, Gameyard, a high-end gaming lounge and Super Kid, an app based toy kit (to generate interest in science among young children) who presented their business plans and had a question answer round. Mr. Pankaj Gupta and Mr. Gagandeep Makhija, partners of the restaurant Olde Bailey’s were the judges for the final round. The team CarMojo, comprising of Zeeshan Kazi, Saurabh Kadam and Shubham Thakare, third year students from the Pillai Institute of Information Technology were adjudged the winners of the competition.
Commenting on the competition, Dr. Daphne Pillai, Chairperson, Mahatma Education Society, said “It was wonderful to see many teams participate in this competition and come up with innovative ideas. It is a great platform for budding entrepreneurs”.
Dr. Priam Pillai, COO of the Pillai Group of Institutions, said that “We are happy to provide this opportunity to encourage and nurture ideas for upcoming businesses among the youth and are happy with the response to this competition”.
